Property Intelligence: Map, List, and Filters

Last updated March 20, 2026

Map View

The map view is Greenfinch's primary exploration interface. It shows commercial property parcels overlaid on a satellite map, color-coded by property category (office, retail, industrial, multifamily, etc.).

Navigation

  • Pan and zoom — Click and drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or use the +/- controls. The map loads property data dynamically as you navigate.
  • Search bar — Search by property name, address, or contact name. Results appear in the sidebar and the map centers on the first match.
  • Satellite toggle — Switch between satellite imagery and street map views.

Property Interaction

  • Hover — Hovering over a parcel highlights it and shows a tooltip with the property name and address.
  • Click — Clicking a parcel opens the property preview tray at the bottom of the screen, showing key metrics and a "View Details" button.
  • Sidebar — The sidebar lists all properties in the current viewport, sorted by your chosen metric. Click any property to center the map on it and open the preview.

Map Labels

Property parcels on the map can display a data label. Use the label selector in the toolbar to choose what metric appears on each parcel:

  • Lot Acres — Total parcel area in acres.
  • Building Sq Ft — Total building footprint.
  • Landscapable Sq Ft — Estimated outdoor maintainable area (lot area minus building footprint).
  • Roof Area — Estimated roof surface area.

The default label is determined by your primary service type. Landscaping companies see landscapable area by default, roofing companies see roof area, etc.

List View

The list view presents properties in a table format, ideal for systematic prospecting and bulk operations:

  • Sortable columns — Click any column header to sort by that field. Available sort fields include lot size, building square footage, contact count, year built, and more.
  • Column customization — Click the column selector to choose which data fields appear in the table. Your column preferences are saved per session.
  • Search — The search bar searches property names and addresses in real time as you type.
  • Bulk selection — Use the checkboxes to select multiple properties, then use the action bar to add them to lists or trigger bulk research.

Using Filters

The filter bar appears in both map and list views. Filters narrow the set of properties displayed:

Category Filters

Filter by property category (Office, Retail, Industrial, Multifamily, Hospitality, etc.) and subcategory (e.g., "Office > Medical Office" or "Retail > Strip Center"). Multiple categories can be selected at once.

Size Filters

  • Lot size — Filter by minimum and/or maximum lot acreage.
  • Building square footage — Filter by building size range.
  • Floors — Filter by number of stories.

Building Class

Filter by building classification: Class A (premium), Class B (mid-tier), or Class C (older/lower quality). This is AI-classified based on building age, size, and other factors.

Status Filters

  • Researched — Show only properties that have been through AI research and have enriched data (contacts, ownership, management).
  • New — Show only properties you have not viewed yet.
  • Revealed — Show only properties your organization has revealed (spent credits on).

Advanced Filters (More)

The "More" filter group provides additional filtering by ZIP code, AC type, heating type, roof type, exterior wall type, year built range, and estimated property value.

ICP Toggle

The ICP button applies your organization's ideal customer profile filters. When active, the filters match your configured ICP. You can override individual filters without losing your ICP configuration.

Property Detail Pages

Click "View Details" on any property to open its full detail page. The detail page includes:

  • Property header — Name, address, category, building class, and key metrics (lot size, building sq ft, year built).
  • Street View — Google Street View imagery of the property (where available).
  • About section — AI-generated overview of the property, its use, and relevant characteristics.
  • Contacts section — Decision-makers associated with the property. Shows role, title, and contact type (Person vs Office). Reveal to see full names, email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Ownership & Management — Beneficial owner, property management company, and related organizations. Available after revealing.
  • Pipeline controls — Set the pipeline stage (prospect, qualified, outreach, etc.) and track your progress with this property.
  • Notes — Add internal notes visible to your team.

Property Data Fields

AI Property Research

Greenfinch uses AI to research properties and discover information that is not available in public records:

  • Ownership resolution — Traces LLC structures to identify the beneficial owner behind the entity on the deed.
  • Management company identification — Discovers which property management firm handles day-to-day operations.
  • Contact discovery — Identifies decision-makers (property managers, facility managers, owners) and verifies their contact information.
  • Property classification — Classifies property type and building class using building characteristics and web research.

AI research runs automatically when you view a property for the first time. The research status is shown on the property detail page — you can see when research is pending, complete, or if no additional data was found.
